Jordan McCarroll, Attorney

Jordan McCarrollAfter practicing law for more than 6 years, I have come to appreciate the impact of my clients’ business goals in the decision making process. The legal foundation of any business should be thoughtfully and carefully planned and executed.

The behind-the-scenes work is critical to the

overall success of the endeavor.

During my career, I have crafted the documents for the creation, governance, and operation of more than 40 Texas entities.  I have negotiated and drafted the agreements in more than 30 real property transactions, and provided legal opinions regarding various title commitments.  My legal research and writing skills have also been used quite extensively in various litigation matters.

I grew up in the heart of North Texas before following family tradition and becoming a Texas A&M Aggie in 2001. I graduated cum laude from Texas A&M in 2005 with a major in English and a minor in Business.  I attended Baylor Law School and graduated with my Juris Doctor in 2009.

Community involvement is important to me, as it helps you not only improve your business but also your family life. While living in Fort Worth, I became active in many community-concentric organizations, including:

  • Fort Worth Petroleum Club – membership and Junior Member Committee;
  • Fort Worth and Dallas Young Professionals in Energy;
  • Fort Worth Botanical Garden – Board Member;
  • Kimball Art Museum – Patron;
  • Diva Women Outdoors Worldwide; and
  • Texas Wesleyan University School of Law – Judge, IL Mock Trial Competition.

Following my move to Shields Legal Group, I have made a new goal to impact the Addison and Dallas areas to an even greater extent, both professionally and personally.

I am licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and belong to the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Aggie Bar Association, and the Tarrant and Dallas County Bar Associations.  I am also a member of the Texas Young Lawyer’s Association and the Tarrant County Young Lawyer’s Association.  Through the TCYLA, I have become involved with the Texas A & M School of Law Mentor Program.

Please let me know how I may help you and your business to grow, transition, or navigate through your significant transactions.
