Tandy V. Jouret, Attorney
Understanding your business needs and creating a legal strategy that compliments or enhances those needs is my primary focus.
Over the past eighteen years, I have assisted individuals, businesses, and financial institutions with substantial commercial transactions, including real estate matters, equity and debt finance, and corporate transactions.
I have been actively involved in negotiating, drafting, closing and funding of commercial and complex commercial real estate transactions. Throughout my career, I have represented both sides of the table, including either the seller, buyer, developer or lender.
Small to medium size companies have utilized my skill set to represent them in a variety of legal situations.
My extensive experience handling general business transactions such as corporate restructures, dispositions and acquisitions of significant assets, mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and organizational issues, the acquisition and disposition of businesses, and buy-sell agreements provides me with a broad background to advise you on your business needs.
I have also negotiated and drafted commercial property leases in various industries, for a wide variety of clients. I have represented single and multi-tenant operations, owners and lessees of shopping centers, commercial office, and industrial complexes. I have also negotiated easements and rights-of-way agreements with quasi-governmental entities and utility providers.
Financial institutions and business borrowers have also been my clients. I assisted in the negotiation and consummation of various loan facilities, and procured and closed substantial credit facilities for commercial financing with various lenders and private investors. I have also drafted and reviewed complex credit agreements, and collateral arrangements for asset based, real estate based and mezzanine financing.
I also provide Outside General Counsel Services by helping companies manage and grow shareholder value.
My clients call on me for strategic advice for their “every-day” business operational needs and contract strategies, intellectual property issues, HR and compliance issues, and conflict and litigation management.
Based on my broad experience working with companies in various stages of growth or exit, I can understand what keeps you up at night. I want to be your Trusted Advisor. With each engagement, I assess your goals and risks, then work with you to develop practical and efficient legal and business strategies to maximize value.
Before I joined SLG, I was a senior attorney at Godwin Ronquillo, PC for ten years, where I focused on corporate transactional matters, commercial real estate and commercial litigation. I received my B.A. degree in Communications from Baylor University and my J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1995. I am licensed to practice law in Texas and I am admitted to practice in the Northern District of Texas.
Please let me know how I may help you and your business to grow, transition or navigate through your significant transactions.
