Our Team

Brandon Schaller helps lenders and borrowers structure, document, negotiate, and close debt and equity transactions. Brandon has experience advising clients in syndicated, senior, bilateral, mezzanine, unitranche, ABL, subscription, and acquisition financings. Brandon also counsels clients in workouts and restructurings. With deep experience representing clients across industries and deal sizes, Brandon understands clients’ objectives and delivers results.

Prior to joining Shields Legal, Brandon worked for international law firms. Brandon attended law school at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with honors and undergrad at The University of Arizona and graduated with honors. While in law school, Brandon was a staff editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law.

• Represented privately held consumer goods manufacturer and distributor regarding $1.5 billion credit facility that provided an upsize and more operating flexibility
• Represented agent bank regarding $217 million credit facility provided to an industrial maintenance company simultaneously closing acquisition financings
• Represented private equity lender as agent regarding $120 million revolving credit facility provided to an investment fund to facilitate new and add-on investments
• Represented buyer in $90 million merger of food production and distribution companies
• Represented agent bank regarding $75 million credit facility provided to an energy services company for capital improvements
• Represented bank lender regarding $70 million bilateral credit facility provided to an electrical and lighting services company
• Represented agent bank regarding $50 million revolving and term loan facility provided to a midstream oil and gas company
• Represented private equity lender in $40 million mezzanine loan and common equity warrants
• Represented bank lender regarding $25 million term loan facility provided to a home restoration services company
• Represented private equity lender in $23 million mezzanine loan with equity co-investment
• Represented seller in $12 million sale of several restaurant franchise locations
• Represented syndicate lenders in connection with syndicated credit agreement across a variety of industries, with an emphasis on energy and healthcare
• Represented various banks and other lenders regarding draft or updated standard form documents conforming to best practices, industry trends, and legal developments
