Biography

Rachel Huskins is an associate attorney with Shields Legal Group’s Litigation & Business Disputes team.  She guides businesses in resolving high-stakes contract disputes and navigating complex shareholder and partnership litigation.  Known for her clear, strategic thinking, persuasive writing, and witty sense of humor, Rachels brings clarity and precision to even the most challenging legal problems.

Rachel’s experience with Shields Legal began during law school, where she supported trial teams, drafted motions, and managed electronic discovery in multi-party disputes as a legal intern.  Today, she leverages that foundation to deliver practical, results-driven solutions for clients facing critical business challenges.

  • Supported litigation teams in shareholder and partnership disputes involving contested governance provisions, derivative claims, and corporate-governance issues.
  • Developed trial preparation materials, including witness outlines, exhibit lists, jury charges, and hearing preparation for state and federal matters.
  • Assist with case management in high-volume dockets, including insurance litigation, commercial contract disputes, and business tort matters.
  • Draft dispositive motions, special exceptions, Rule 91a motions, motions in limine, and appellate-level briefing in complex commercial, insurance, and corporate-governance disputes.
